Cookies & Consent
Last updated: March 3, 2026
Short version: chatterpc.com currently does not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or local storage. We therefore do not need a cookie banner right now. If this changes, we will update this page and show a consent prompt.
Our current position
- No Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Meta Pixel, or other trackers
- No marketing tags or remarketing cookies
- No functional cookies beyond basic site operation (static HTML)
- No data shared with advertising networks
EU / UK GDPR compliance
Because we do not set any non-essential cookies, we comply with GDPR, PECR (UK), and the ePrivacy Directive. If we add analytics or marketing tools in the future, we will:
- Display a cookie banner with clear Accept / Reject choices (no default opt-in)
- Load non-essential scripts only after consent
- Log consent choices and allow withdrawal from the privacy settings
- Provide a detailed cookie table (purpose, storage duration, provider)
US requirements (CCPA / CPRA / Colorado / Virginia)
Under current US state privacy laws we are considered a "service provider" because we do not sell or share personal data. If this changes, we will:
- Add a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link
- Offer opt-out for targeted advertising cookies
- Provide a consent log for California and Colorado residents
Future roadmap
- Optional privacy-friendly analytics (Plausible or Fathom) with cookieless mode
- Consent banner powered by cookieconsent.com or Osano if we ever set cookies
- Settings page inside the app to manage telemetry / diagnostic sharing
